· Undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Jacksonville State University in 1990.

· Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education in 1991.

· Masters Degree in Library Media in 1995.

I have taught Kindergarten at Iola Roberts Elementary, Library Media at Duran Jr. High, Iola Roberts and Eden Elementary, and Third grade at Eden Elementary. I have been fortunate to work with the students in the Pell City Schools since 1990 and see them grow up and progress through the school system. It has been a delight to watch them grow up and succeed.

I was fortunate to grow up in Pell City and attend the Pell City Schools as a child.  It was fun teaching at Iola Roberts at the same Elementary School I went to as a student.  (The halls seem a lot smaller somehow!)  I had a wonderful school experience because of the great teachers who worked in our schools.  They taught me the skills I needed to progress in school and succeed in college, but they also made me feel valued as a person.  I had a lot of special teachers who still mean a lot to me today.  They changed my life.  I hope to help my students succeed and be the best at academics.  We have super smart children in Pell City and they can compete and beat students anywhere in the world academically, but more important to me, I hope to help my children see what a unique and special person they are and that they each have important skills to offer our society that no one else can.  I am very excited to get the opportunity to work with you and your child this year.  I love teaching and I know we are all going to have a wonderful year.
