I graduated from Maranatha Baptist Academy in Watertown, Wisconsin in 1990.

I graduated from Maranatha Baptist Bible College in Watertown, Wisconsin in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a minor in Special Education.


1994-1999 I taught 1st grade at Metro Baptist Schools in Madison, TN.

1999-2001 I taught 3rd grade at Woodbine Christian Academy in Nashville, TN.

2001-2004 I taught 1st through 4th grades at Thrifthaven Baptist Academy in Memphis, TN.

2004-2006 I taught 3rd grade at Central Day School in Collierville, TN.

2007-2008 I taught 1st grade at Temple Elementary in Temple, GA.

2008-2009 I was a substitute teacher in the Trussville City Schools in Trussville, AL.

2009-2011 I substituted in the Pell City School System and completed 3 long term subbing positions at Iola Roberts during this time.

2011- I am currently teaching 2nd grade at Iola Roberts Elementary.


I would like to introduce myself.  My name is Rachel Carr.  I have 20 years teaching experience ranging from first up to fourth grade.  I hold an Alabama state teaching license with a Highly Qualified status. I am married, and my husband and I live in Moody.  My hobbies include spending time with my husband, reading, and going for walks.  I also love working with children.
